Here at Ithaca JATC, we will teach you the necessary skills to help you build a strong foundation for your future. You will learn both in the classroom and on-the-job to prepare you for a great career in the electrical construction industry. Our apprentices work side-by-side with a Journeyworker Electrician. This person provides instruction during your on-the-job training, giving you one-on-one, personalized instruction to help you be as successful as possible.

Your training will consist of a minimum of 900 hours of classroom training and a minimum of 8,200 hours of on-the-job training over a 5-year period. Classes are held from 4:00pm to 9:00pm one night per week from late August into June. Classes for apprentice year are scheduled one night per week. You are not paid while attending classes. 

There is not cost for the training and their are no loans to repay. Our program is recognized by the American Council on Education (ACE) and is equivcalend to 55 college credit hours.
